The Old Tool Shed (2) 201920x16", Acrylic | Falling Waters 202224x12", This painting was just a joy to paint. Each time I paint I learn and grow from the endeavor of creating art. I like the way your eye’s visual path follows the falling water down and back up again in an almost playful manner. This was captured by contrasting the lights and darks in the painting. The warm purple and pink colors are laced throughout this painting to provide a calm and peaceful yet interesting look to the painting. The focal point -the falling water, has a large bolder and | SOLD, Trio of Canoes, 36x12"Canoes were vitally important to the people of Canada and the birchbark canoes were used by Aboriginals and European settlers as they were easy to use and lightweight. I think one of the reasons I like to paint canoes is because they are synonymous with Canada or maybe it’s because I just like the shape of these boat.
In this painting (and many of my paintings) I like to humanize my objects within the landscape. Each of the beautiful delicious red canoes are nestled beside each other. All three |

Out to the shed 20x16"Over the years I have painted this little shed several times. I like how the uniquely shaped shed is set back in and well covered by weeds. It is located off highway 20 and the house has since been demolished. The warm late summer colours contrast well the cool colors of the shed. Although the pathway was not well tracked there was still enough space to lead you to this shed. Is it because others have been captured by this scene or is it because there is someone who still uses it-who knows. | Serene Cottage 12x12I don't recall where I found this scene however, I do know it is in the Niagara's wine country. The white house is set in and the farmer's field next door made for a unique setting. Most of my art capture's natures beauty that we are lucky to have in our area and this one is no exception. The warm colours from the farmers field draws your eye to the serene cottage next door. | Abandoned Beauty 36x24"During one of my exploratory drives to look for something new to paint I came up to this abandoned beauty in Vineland. You too may have seen this many times if you travel on hwy 8 towards St. Catharines. The ivy has decorated is the jewel that nature has added to this house and made this a scene worth painting. |

SOLD, Falling waters, 12x12, 2022Love this little beauty with white waters falling over the rocks. The couple above are barely visible but direct your eye to the main feature. | Muddy Charm, 20x16"I was driving past this scene on a night home from shopping. I had to stop and capture a quick photo. The sunset seems to bounce off the puddle and the tractors muddy path leads you to the horizon. | The Tool Shed,20x16"This abandoned tool shed is not my shed but one that I came up to during a walk in the woods. I imagine that at somepoint there was someone who used this shed to keep all their fine tools for their favorite hobby. I like how the blue shed is surrounded and softened by the tall weeds. |

Pond Beauty, 20x16"I am lucky enough to have a delightful pond in my backyard and I enjoy early spring/summer when I can enjoy the sitting by the pond. It gives me great pleasure to spend time outdoors and I hope this painting brings some happy and calming thoughts to you as you view this work as many of us have busy unrelenting lives, while others have experienced tragedy and trauma. This is where I believe that art has an important role by providing a sense of relief from our lives. The right artwork can transf | Sunflowers for UkraineIn support of the people of Ukraine. 12x12" | Retired, 20x16"I seem to like painting canoes, and this is one example of where I have tried to convey a softer more muted palette of colors. In this painting, I’ve tried to give a sense of feeling to the place that captures the abandoned boat on a hot summer afternoon. I was out walking one day and came up to this boat which was located near the waterway near St Catharines. |

A changed world,This painting was created a couple of years ago and I feel this is such an appropriate title for the pandemic. In the glass globe the world is upside down and we hold the world inn our hands to determine it's outcome. | Quiet Night In Acrylic 24x12"As travelers we often like to walk through the towns we stay in to explore the local scenery. During a evening walk in a quiet suburb in Paris Ontario we came up to this house. It was a cool evening with a slight chill in the air. I smiled at the man reading his newspaper and sitting in comfortable chair in his warm house. | Huddled Canoes 24"x18"Acrylic |

Temporarly Closed, Acrylic jpgDuring the months of isolation brought on by the pandemic, I would often go out and drive around to get out of the house and had anywhere that took my fancy. Although this scen is 10 minutes from my house, I was seeing it through a different lens. It was quiet in a normally busy area and this little green storefront in Ridgeville seemed to almost glow at night. I reminded me of Edward Hopper's art and I knew I had to paint it. | Charlie 12x12_, Custom animal portrait | Scout 12x12Custom pet paintings available |
